As Host, DJ, and music director for the “Drive Home,” Jonathan Flynn keeps you company throughout the end of your work day and your journey back home with a tongue- in- cheek look at the entertainment industry, keeping you updated with a look at traffic and weather. He’ll also seize the opportunity to share his passion for our Habs and whatever else may be on his mind!

In his own words:

Some of my earliest childhood memories are of me flipping through my parents' record collection and listening to old Motown and classic rock LP’s. As a young Iad I wanted to dance like Michael Jackson, and no matter how much the “Thriller” video scared the pants off of me I always watched it from beginning to end; security blanket in-hand! As I grew older, so did my appetite for music: The Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam and the Beastie Boys….the list goes on and on!  Now I get to share my love for music with all of Montreal!

After studying journalism at Concordia University with aspirations of becoming a writer, I somehow ended up at the Montreal Radio and TV School, with the new goal of making it onto Montreal’s airwaves instead. After graduating, I came to Mike FM, in the summer of 2007.  I spent quite some time paying my dues, working as an operator for live shows until I hosted my own late night sports show, “The Midnight Sports Fix,” and later covering the 2008 Euro Cup with Mike FM’s “The Soccer-philes.”  Soon after, in the summer of 2008, the opportunity to host “The Drive Home” came up and I grabbed the proverbial bull by the horns!  Ever since, I’ve been playing the music I love for the city I adore. Life doesn’t get much sweeter than this!

I’ve played hockey all of my life. I’ve been a Blackhawks fan ever since I can remember but as I got older, and maybe a little wiser, I became a hometown supporter of our Montreal Canadiens.  I still believe in Carey Price and Alex Kovalev’s still my favorite hockey player. As far as the greatest of all time is concerned, good luck convincing me it’s not Number 99!  I also like to snowboard and play golf.  I played baseball as a kid, and miraculously avoided breaking any bones playing rugby in high school. I like video games, mixed martial arts, and watch lots of movies as I have a pretty big collection of DVDs and, as of more recently, Blu Rays (gotta love Hi-Def!)
